D. T. Stelmaszek’s novels are written with the help of artificial intelligence. This page sets out how, so that readers know what they are reading.
How the books are written
The concepts, stories, characters and plots are the author’s own. The prose is written with AI assistance: the author develops each concept and works through the prose with an AI model, revising and choosing, until every passage reads the way the author intends. Parts of the published text were generated by AI and then selected, edited and arranged by the author.
When a book is submitted to a bookstore or registered with the U.S. Copyright Office, its AI-generated text is declared in that store’s or office’s own terms, and a copyright application claims only the author’s own contribution.
Covers and images
The cover art for these books, shown on this site and in stores, was made with AI image tools. Where a store or platform asks, it is labelled as AI-generated.
The author photograph on the About page is a real photograph of the author. Its background was made with AI.
Social media
Posts on D. T. Stelmaszek’s social media accounts may be drafted with the help of AI. The author reads and approves every post before it goes out. Nothing replies, likes, follows or sends messages automatically, and no account connected with these books is a chatbot speaking as a person.
The characters are fictional
These novels are works of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places and incidents are the product of the author’s imagination or are used fictitiously. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or to actual events is coincidental, except as described below.
Real people and real events
Some of the novels draw on real historical events and real historical figures, researched from public records and published sources. Where a real person appears, the words, thoughts and actions given to them on the page are the author’s invention, not a factual account of what that person said or did. Where a novel offers an answer to a real unsolved case, that answer is fiction.
